Proceedings and Publications

  • All registered and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore.
  • All accepted papers presented during the conference will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
  • IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference.

Review

  • The iconbci-2024 conference employs a double-blind peer-review system.
  • Reviewers' feedback determines whether papers are accepted, rejected, or accepted pending revisions.
  • The committee utilizes plagiarism detection tools to assess submitted papers for originality.

Presentation

  • Authors are advised to store their presentation materials on a USB drive.
  • Conference venues are equipped with data projectors connected to PCs.
  • The use of personal laptops is not permitted.

Paper Presentation

  • Conference will be hosted in hybrid mode.
  • If a paper accepted for inclusion in the IEEE proceedings is not presented at the conference, all authors of the paper will be ineligible to submit papers to future conferences organized by the same organizers.

Policy

If a paper is found to be unoriginal, not the authors' own work, submitted elsewhere, or a duplicate of another paper, it will be promptly removed. Even copying from the authors' own previous work is prohibited.

Plagiarism checks may occur at any stage from submission to publication. The Publisher retains the right to exclude any papers deemed unsuitable for publication. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and violations will result in rejection by the organizers/publishers.

Authors are accountable for any issues related to the quality of their work, including plagiarism, citation errors, and delays in the review process.

Registration fees are non-refundable after the conference deadline, and organizers are not liable for payment gateway charges. All accepted and registered papers must be finalized by the authors before submission, and any errors or changes thereafter are the authors' responsibility. Organizers/editors are not accountable for unwanted content, errors, or changes during the camera-ready submission process.

Authors are invited to submit papers through Microsoft’s Conference Management Toolkit (CMT). All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed based on their quality and relevance.

After logging to the Conference Management System, please click on the “Create new submission” tab and follow the instructions. The Title of the paper and the Abstract are to be entered separately, along with the full paper.

Accepted and presented papers of ‘2024 International Conference on Brain Computer Interface & Healthcare Technologies (iCon-BCIHT)’ will be submitted for publication in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library .

In order to be acceptable for publication submissions must make a new contribution to the scientific community. All submissions are processed through Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate) to screen for plagiarism.

Foreign authors will be permitted to present in online mode.

The maximum page limit is six pages, including references. Do not include an author biography at the end. If additional pages are necessary, up to 8 pages are permitted subject to an extra payment of Rs. 500 ($25) per additional page.

Once the authors receive the acceptance notification, log on to Microsoft CMT Website and upload the Camera ready paper, generate e-copyright form and then upload the e-copyright form. Authors also need to do the registration in the link provided in the conference website.

Instructions for Camera Ready Paper Submission

  • Step 1: Final Camera-ready paper preparation

    Revised Version: Revise your paper based on reviewers’ comments/suggestions. The reviewer’s comments are available on the same Microsoft paper management site: Reviewer Comments

    The maximum page limit is six pages, including references. Do not include an author biography at the end. If additional pages are necessary, up to eight pages are permitted subject to an extra payment of Rs. 500 ($25) per additional page.

    Similarity with other papers should be low (a similarity index below 25% is acceptable for publication). The maximum file size allowed is 3 MB, and the file format should be PDF (.pdf) without encryption or passwords.

    Authors are responsible for ensuring that the reviewers’ and meta-reviewers’ comments have been addressed in the final manuscript.

  • Step 2: IEEE Copyright Notice
  • An appropriate copyright notice is to appear at the bottom of the first page of each paper. Replace the copyright notice in the camera-ready paper template with the correct copyright notice as follows:

    For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: “U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright.”

    For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: “979-8-3503-8168-9/24/$31.00 ©2024 Crown.”

    For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: “979-8-3503-8168-9/24/$31.00©2024 European Union.”

  • Step 3: PDF eXpress check
  • After revising your paper, pass it through PDF eXpress using conference ID (63907X) at the following URL: PDF eXpress. If you do not have an account, click on the link “New Users – Click here” and provide your information (email address and password).

  • Step 4: Camera-ready Paper Submission
  • Submit the final version of the paper (after passing it through PDF eXpress check) through the author console in CMT. Please note that you are expected to retain the original paper’s title in the final version, and the author list cannot be changed in the final manuscript. You should rename this exact file to confirm to the following naming convention:iCon-BCIHT_paperID.pdf, where paper ID is the Microsoft CMT paper id.

  • Step 5: Submission of the copyright form
  • IMPORTANT : Ensure that all authors have registered in CMT with their correct names and contact emails. IEEE e-copyright takes information from CMT, and any discrepancies with the names mentioned in the paper may result in the submission being removed from the conference publication and not uploaded to IEEE Xplore. Submitting e-copyright is a one-time process and cannot be corrected. For corrections, authors must contact IEEE directly; the conference cannot assist in this regard. After uploading the final camera-ready paper (which must have passed PDF Check in IEEE PDF eXpress), click on the ‘Submit IEEE Copyright Form’ link to access the IEEE Copyright Form Submission CMT page. Click on the IEEE copyright website link. You will be redirected to the IEEE eCF site to submit the copyright form. Registration Guidelines

  • At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must register for the conference for the paper to be included in the conference proceedings and published through IEEE Xplore.
  • Full registration includes the registration of one paper.
  • Additional author registrations for the same paper come with an additional fee of 2000 INR/50 USD per head, irrespective of category.
  • The maximum length of the paper is 6 pages including references.
